(Roberts) Kornegay (1819-1888) were parents of several children- A daughter, Susan Margaret Kornegay (1848-1894) married 12-29-1870, Wayne County, David A. Cameron (1848-1920) Wayne County. A daughter, Annie Omelia Cameron (1871-1951) Duplin County, married, 10-28-1891 in Duplin County, Arthur Martin Hill (1860-1929) of Duplin County. A daughter, Helen Marguerite Hill (1898-1986) Born Wayne County, married 11-4-1922 in Wayne County, Bernhardt Albert Waldenmaier (1895-19__) born Shelbyville, Indiana.
Their daughter, Hannah Marguerite Waldenmaier (B 3-17-1925) at Burlington, Alamance County, N.C., married 4-6-1947 at Beaufort, Carteret County, N.C., Daniel Whitley (B 9-5-1920) Wilson County, N.C.
Their son, Daniel Whitley, Jr. is an MD living in Goldsboro N.C., 1996.

For the sum of 233 pounds fifteen shillings, Nathaniel Hood of Sampson County, sold to Joseph Kornegay of Duplin County, N.C., 170 acres of land located in Sampson. Beginning at a White Oak and Ash on the run of the Marsh Branch, the corner of Edmond Stephens land on Governor Dobbs old line.

Birth year for Joseph and Nancy (Beck) Kornegay calculated from 1810-1820-1830 Censuses of Duplin County. 1810 reveals that Joseph is not over age 45. 1830 indicates that Nancy is not over 50 years of age. However, she was not shown as being a minor at the time of her father's death.

Alfred Kornegay (1800-1846) married, Margaret Kornegay (1803-1866) daughter of Daniel (CA 1770-1842) and Edna (Flowers) Kornegay (1784-1830) of Wayne County, N.C.

  7. David Marshall Kornegay (1851-1928) married first, Sallie Ann Ophelia King (1851-1901) daughter of David Cogdell King (1822-1872) and Rosa Ann A.(Manly) King (B 1822-1872) daughter of Furnifold Manly (1782-1856) and Sarah _ Manly (B 1788). The Kings lived in Sampson, Manlys in Wayne County.
    Eight known children.
    1. Marshall David Kornegay (1876-11955) married Bessie Williams (1880-1961) daughter of Issac and Laura (Johnson) Williams, of Sampson County, N.C.
