The old Freewill Baptist Church at Probability, Duplin County, now abandoned, was the church the Kornegay family attended.  Daniel Kornegay's obituary mentions that he joined the church in this building in 1859 and his burial service was conducted here in 1894.  At some point it ceased to be a church and was eventually used for tenant farmer housing and finally abandoned.  As with many unused buildings in the rural South, the custom is to let it decay until it falls in on itself as is so apparent here.  Although now closed up, I did go around back and managed to get inside but it wasn't a pretty sight.  There are plans to restore the building.
