Claudia was born 1880 in Atlanta, Georgia.  She came to New Mexico alone for reason of her delicate health and homesteaded property near where Robert Kornegay had a ranch.  They met and married and together accumulated a sizeable ranch.  Robert Kornegay sold it out and bought a ranch near the Mexican border.  Later he had a big ranch in Chihuahua, Mexico.  He later traded his Mexico ranch for a ranch in New Mexico.  From there the family migrated to California and from there to Arizona.  Claudia died in Tucson, Arizona in 1938.
